The OPP detachment in Sault Ste. Marie has a new commander. He’s Staff Sergeant Michael Maville, a member of the OPP since 2002. Maville’s entire OPP career has been in the northeast having served stints with detachments in Thessalon, Chapleau, North Bay and the Sault.
When he was first deployed in the Sault, Maville was part of the detachment’s drug enforcement unit. Maville assumes command at the end of the month.
