It has been a long wait for the citizens of Elliot Lake. After almost four years since the collapse of the Algo Mall back in June of 2012 that killed two and injured several others, the new Pearson Plaza opens today with the official Grand opening of Elliot Lake Foodland.
The new store offers a huge variety of shopping for the citizens of Elliot Lake and the Northshore. Other stores are expected to open later this summer along with a Library in the new Pearson Plaza. Mayor Dan Marchisella of Elliot Lake along with local dignitaries officially cut the ribbon to open the new Foodland this morning.
