Public Health Algoma Champions Awards 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to challenge individuals, businesses, and communities across Algoma, and that has lent a special colour to the selection of champions by Public Health Algoma.

The agency states their Public Health and Youth Public Health Champion awards honours Algoma residents who stepped up to keep communities safe and healthy throughout 2021 despite the pandemic.
The recipients are of the Organization Award is PUC Services Incorporated while the Individual Award went to Lisa Vezeau-Allen of Grocers 4 Good, both in Sault Ste Marie.

Beau Neveau Learn of Batchawana First Nation is the recipient of the Youth Awards.
