Local Smile Cookie campaign raises over $50,000 for hospital foundation

The local Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign donated a record-breaking $50,860 to Health Sciences North Foundation.

The campaign ran the week of September 14th.

HSN Foundation’s Smile-A-Grams were offered alongside the campaign again this year, and over 180 packages of Smile Cookies with personalized messages were sold to staff, volunteers and patients throughout the hospital.

“We continue to be amazed by the tremendous support we receive from our community, especially during times like these,” said Anthony Keating, President and CDO of Foundations and Volunteer Groups at HSN. “Thank you to local Tim Horton’s restaurants, our volunteers who decorated thousands of Smile Cookies and our generous community for supporting the campaign through cookie purchases. Every Smile Cookie sold benefits patients, right here in our community and we are grateful.”

Local Tim Horton’s franchises raised a total of $137,459 across Greater Sudbury this year during the campaign. All proceeds went to several charities and organizations, including the HSN Foundation.
