The Al Secord Trail has been extended through the Clear Lake Beach site in Espanola for accessible access to the washrooms and parking area.
Espanola Mayor, Ron Piche, is pleased with the enhancements.
He says in addition to the work already done, accessible matting has been installed off the paved trail to provide access to the beach for people with wheel chairs, scooters, walkers and strollers.
An accessible picnic table has also been installed just off the trail.
Piche adds the Town of Espanola is grateful for the funding provided by Employment & Social Development Canada and the Community Accessibility Stream, adding increased access means increased usage.
