UPDATE: ONE FATALITY – SEVEN STUDENTS TREATED FOR INJURIES
The driver of the SUV, Marc Robitaille, 62 years of age from Spragge was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Seven secondary school students from the bus were transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 17 re-opened to one lane.Members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police responded to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision involving a school bus and a sports utility vehicle on Highway 17 near the village of Spragge within the Township of the North Shore this morning.
Both vehicles were travelling eastbound on Highway 17 where the SUV rear ended the school bus.
