Over a two-day span the Espanola Police Service, with assistance from community partners, successfully conducted an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances in the community.
During the investigation, March 21st and 22nd, officers seized a significant quantity of hashish, marijuana, and edible marijuana products.
Police say this seizure resulted in the removal of approximately $20,000 in street value of illicit drugs from the community.
Police arrested and charged two adult men and one male youth with seven counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of failing to comply with undertaking.
One of the men is currently on outstanding charges for trafficking offences, and was held for a bail hearing.
