Two local area youth received accolades from Mantha

Algoma-Manitoulin MPP, Mike Mantha was pleased to meet two local area talented young ladies saying they are amazing and have great gifts to share with the world.

Elliot Lake’s own Anna Noseworthy-Turgeon from Esten Public School won the 2017-18 Grade 7-8 Speaker’s Award for Youth Writers for her story “Waffles on the Screen Door”.

And, Wiikwemkoong water advocate Autumn Peltier was presented with the 2017 Ontario Junior Citizen award from the Ontario Community Newspaper Association earlier this year.

Mantha added his is proud of our youth who inspire him to believe tomorrow will be better.
