Recall on rainbow trout from Sudbury fish market

Certain smoked rainbow trout products are being recalled due to the possible presence of dangerous bacteria.
The products were sold by Tarini Brothers Meat and Fish Market at 1055 Lorne Street in Sudbury.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued the recall based on recent inspection activities and have ordered them removed because they may permit the growth of a toxin, which can make someone sick.

Cynthia Peacock-Rocca, a manager with Public Health Sudbury & Districts, check to see if you have the recalled products in your home and do not consume them.

Instead, return any recalled product to the point of purchase or throw it away, she said.

Recalled products include those with “packaged on dates” up to and including February 15, 2018.

The following products are recalled:

Smoked Rainbow Trout

Cajun Smoked Rainbow Trout

LP (Lemon Pepper) Smoked Rainbow Trout

Dill Smoked Rainbow Trout
