East Algoma OPP is now investigating a missing person case as a homicide.
Thirty-one-year old Joseph Topping of Elliot Lake went missing in mid-January and his remains were found on February 14th in a wooded area in Elliot Lake.
A post-mortem was carried out on Monday and, as a result, his death has now been classified as a homicide.
Anyone with any information regarding the case is asked to immediately contact the OPP or Crimestoppers.
The investigation is on-going and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
