Elliot Lake Secondary School hosted The 10th Annual Walk for Alzheimer’s which saw a substantial increase over last year’s event.
Alzheimer Society Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District Out Reach Coordinator, Tanya Cook, says the event held this past Saturday raised $8,844, $2,800 more than last year.
Thirty-four walkers took part in the event.
The funds stay in Elliot Lake, Blind River and the North Shore to assist local clients.
