Killarney is receiving some grants for infrastructure projects.
Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre says the federal government is giving the municipality $61,904 through the Clean Water and Waste Water Fund and the province is giving Killarney $30,952 for projects keeping the waterways clean. Serre says Killarney will also be receiving $30,707 from the federal Gas Tax Fund to support local infrastructure projects. This money will go towards a survey and inspection of the sewage collection system and develop a plan for upgrades and repairs.
