The young man killed in a head-on collision north of Sault Ste. Marie Monday evening was a student of St. Mary’s College in the Sault. Seventeen-year-old Colin Desmoulin was in Grade 12 and the school is providing grief counsellors for students who lost their friend. Desmoulin was very active in the school and part of St. Mary’s high school hockey team. Desmoulin was driving a pick-up truck on Highway 17 near Pancake Provincial Park when he slammed into an approaching tractor trailer. The teen died at the scene. Police are still working on what caused the crash.
