A full fire ban is being put in place in Elliot Lake, Blind River, the Northshore and North Eastern Manitoulin. That means there are no burning or open flames allowed, and all burning permits have been cancelled.
The Fire Department also says campfires are not allowed, as well as brush burning, and outdoor fireplaces. Anyone who does set an open air fire will be held responsible for any damage or costs.
