The Ontario Coalition of Aboriginal Peoples is hosting an information session in Blind River next weekend to go over a couple of issues. They will be updating Indigenous peoples on the Nuclear Waste Management Organization’s plan for the long-term care of used nuclear fuel.
There will also be a presentation on a recent Supreme Court decision that Metis and non-status Indians are all Indians under the Constitution Act. It’s happening on Saturday May 28th from 11:00 until 3:00pm at Monique’s Restaurant, in Blind River.
