Angus isn’t ruling out running for the NDP leadership

With New Democrats bouncing Thomas Mulcair as their leader, the search is now on for a replacement. And one name being touted is familiar to Northern Ontarians. Charlie Angus of Timmins-James Bay was asked if will run for the top NDP job. Angus says he hasn’t really thought about it but adds he’s not ruling out the possibility.

Angus is 53 and has served Timmins-James Bay since 2004. The job became available as of Sunday when NDP delegates voted Thomas Mulcair out as leader in a 52 to 48 per cent vote. The party will name a replacement in two years.
