MNR hosting a new safety program for young hunters

If you have young members of the family who are interested in hunting or other related activities, the province is offering a program for just that.

The MNR says the Hunter Apprenticeship Safety Program is set up specifically for anyone between the ages of 12 and 15-years-old. It requires written permission from parents and prepares young people for their class A1 and A2 Hunter Apprenticeship Safety Cards.

The program’s goals are to educate young people effectively in terms of safety, future use of firearms and rules for hunting in the field.
