Elliot Lake’s Mayor Dan Marchisella came out on top during the 14th annual Steak Eating contest. The contest happened over the weekend, pitting Marchisella against Blind River Mayor Sue Jensen. They were given an hour to get through a 72 ounce steak.
Tickets were sold and all of the money raised goes toward to the Northshore Cruisers Sick Funds. The organization helps families with travel costs when seeking medical treatment in Toronto and across the province.
