Sault Ste. Marie is under a flood outlook from the Ministry of Natural Resources. That means the MNR is giving early notice for the possibility of flooding based on warmer temperatures, heavy rain, and snow melt. Residents are asked to be safe and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams.
Water levels in the area are below flood critical levels, however with heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast that may change.
