No injuries after vehicles broke through the ice

Two separate cases had vehicles break through the ice over the weekend. In the first incident, a 41-year-old man from Lively drove his truck out onto Lake Wosley. It broke through the ice about 400 metres from shore and eventually sank.

The second incident a snowmobile and its driver went through the ice on McGregor Bay. A second snowmobiler also broke through as he tried to help. There were no injuries in any of the cases.

However the OPP is now warning the public to stay off of the ice, as the conditions are dangerous with the mild temperatures.
