Elliot Lake’s mayor will attend this year’s Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities conference.Council will also send one senior staff member and a councillor. Last year the municipality missed FONOM. Councillor Scot Reinhart says that was an anomaly because normally the city is always there.
Reinhart says in addition to meeting cabinet ministers, there are learning classes. Timmins is hosting FONOM this year from May 11th to the 13th.
