A McKerrow family is all set with their team, No Gutsy, No Glory, to take to the streets of Sudbury for the annual Crohn’s and Colitis Walk.
Brenda Houle says June 1st is fast approaching, adding she will not be able to walk this year due to her own health issues, but will be there to cheer on the team in support of her daughter, Lisa, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s when she was 19.
Crohn’s and Colitis are two types of inflammatory bowel disease.
She says Lisa and her dad, Tim, will be taking part in the walk with their supporters.
Houle adds her daughter has been getting injections every two weeks, but her health is worsening, so a cure or new treatments could make a difference for not only Lisa, but all those with the disease.
She says the event will be starting out from Bell Park and includes either a 2.5- or five-kilometre walk.
Pledges and donations are appreciated with any donation over $15 receiving a tax receipt.
