There has been a triple fatality in Wikwemikong on Manitoulin Island.
Wikwemikong Tribal Police says officers were dispatched just after 6 p.m. last Thursday, to a collision at the intersection of Willow Street and Pontiac Avenue.
According to the release, Information provided indicated that a UTV collided with a vehicle, resulting in three individuals being ejected from the UTV with life-threatening injuries.
Police and emergency services arrived on the scene and initiated life-saving measures.
Two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while one other succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle was treated as a precautionary measure with minor injuries.
Names are not being released out of respect for their families.
