Riding the shutout goaltending of Connor Dunham-Fox, and seeing Owen King supply the lone tally of the match-up, the Blind River Beavers skated to a narrow 1-0 triumph over the Soo Thunderbirds in a high-energy Game 1 of their Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League quarter-final contest Thursday evening at the Blind River Community Centre.
Game 2 goes Saturday at 7 p.m. back in Blind River.
