Two local area schools are receiving funding from the World Wildlife Fund for pollination projects.
Biidaaban school in Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation and Espanola High School are receiving funds from the WWF – Canada Go Wild Grants.
Officials say the grants are valued between $1,500 and $3,000 and support student activities to protect or restore nature in schoolyards, campuses and communities.
Officials say Go Wild applications are accepted every fall, with projects taking place throughout the following year.
