The Second Annual North Shore Firefighter Challenge is set to go and will be hosted by the Thessalon Fire Department.
Head of the organizing committee, Alex Hoek, says there will 20 team spots available and will include an extra day of training and seminars for firefighters.
She adds another addition this year is the Mobile Live Training Unit, which will enhance the training that will be provided to the departments.
Hoek says the challenge is set for April 26th and they are hoping to see several teams return including Espanola and Sables-Spanish Rivers.
She adds this year there is also a kids Junior Challenge, bleachers to cheer on departments, a fire-based trade show, and Sparky will be visiting again this year.
She says entry this year is a non-perishable food item to go to the Thessalon Food Bank.
