Michael Mantha says he will run to be re-elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Algoma-Manitoulin as an independent candidate.
With Premier Doug Ford soon calling a provincial election, Mantha says it is a privilege to serve the people of the riding of Algoma-Manitoulin adding the snap election comes during a time of uncertainty and turmoil in Ontario.
He stresses Northern Ontario continues to suffer from a lack of investment in everything from healthcare to highways to housing.
Having been the elected representative for the riding for the last 13 years, he says he will continue to work hard to be the voice for Algoma-Manitoulin and Northern Ontario.
