Rallying from a two-goal deficit, the Espanola Paper Kings countered with four unanswered tallies to surprise the Greater Sudbury Cubs 4-2 in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League meeting Friday evening at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
The Blind River Beavers went on to drop the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners 6-1 in another contest, also on Friday evening at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex.
But the Beavers lost out 3-2 against the Powassan Voodoo the next day, Saturday at the Powassan Sportsplex.
