Nairn & Hyman Township’s Mayor is proud of the challenging work her council and staff has put towards revamping the baseball field, which had fallen into disuse over the years.
The township asked the residents what they would like to see in the space, says Mayor Amy Macey, and the field now has a park for people to enjoy.
She says there is new play sculptures and a picnic table, both designed to be used by people who may have mobility concerns.
Macey says the wider community can attend the official opening on Saturday, July 6th at two pm for the ribbon cutting and cake, followed by children’s games, a barbecue and adult slo-pitch game in the early evening.
