Two local area school boards have approved their budgets for the 2024-2025 school year.
Rainbow District School Board approved a budget of $249.3 million.
Trustees also agreed to withdraw $704,045 from reserves to balance the budget.
Along with the budget, trustees approved an in-year deficit plan to align expenditures with revenue.
The Algoma District School Board also approved a nearly $208 million budget.

In their case, their budget is balanced as required by the province.
