The Espanola Minor Baseball Association is a big winner this year with the Espanola Lions Club Catch the Ace.
The season, which runs from May until the end of June had 345 children this year taking part in the game with six divisions from T-Ball to Bantam.
Twenty-seven teams meant lots of volunteers, trophies for each child at windup and the need for safety equipment, t-shirts, bases and more.
The Lions presented a cheque to Aimee Belanger, the fundraising chair, for $11,000 to use towards future costs including insurance and equipment.
