The Blind River Beavers kicked of Northern Ontario Junior Hockey play this weekend with a 4-1 win over the Soo Thunderbirds Friday in Sault Ste. Marie.
Continuing their streak, the Beavers skated to their 12th straight victory Saturday by downing the Elliot Lake Vikings 5-2 on home ice.
The Espanola Paper Kings rallied for a 7-5 win over the Vikings the night before at the Massey & District Community Arena.
On Sunday, the Kings capped off their road trip with a 9 – 3 win over the French River Rapids Sunday afternoon.
