Environment Canada has issues a freezing rain advisory recommending motorists not to travel if not necessary.
Schools are closed and transportation is cancelled In Espanola, Massey and throughout the Manitoulin and Sudbury Districts.
All schools are closed, so parents are reminded not to send their children to schools and school daycares as these are all closed.
Due to the freezing rain and icy road conditions, all school related transportation is cancelled today for the North Shore Area including Iron Bridge, Blind River, Elliot Lake and Spanish.
However, schools remain open in the Algoma District and it is parents’ responsibility to drop them off and pick their children up at the end of the school day.
