The Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation has successfully completed its campaign to raise funds for vital lab equipment.
Foundation publicist Terri Noble says the foundation successfully raised $90,000 since announcing the campaign last June.
She says the funds have gone towards two pieces of lab equipment, the hematology analyzers, priced at $70,000, which can analyze whole blood specimens and a blood warmer, for $20,000, which allows for blood to be maintained at a proper temperature for transfusions.
She says the fundraiser was part of the annual radiothon hosted by 99.3FM- CJJM – Espanola adding this was the ninth campaign between the two partners.
Noble adds a new campaign will kick off soon and on behalf of the foundation extends a thank you to everyone who supported the campaign.
