On the heels of two motorcycle deaths in Algoma in less than a month, OPP have advice for riders. The East Algoma detachment is telling motorcyclists to be defensive and expect the unexpected.
Police say one thing they hear at the scene of a motorcycle crash is “I didn’t see him”. Police say motorcyclists need to know where a motorist’s blind spots are and to spend as little time in this area as possible.
They say if a rider can see the motorists in their side mirror, then chances are they can also see the rider and know exactly where he is.
