A speeding driver and a wary police officer on patrol has led to a drug bust in Blind River.
Blind River OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says on Monday evening police saw a speeding vehicle on Causley Street and pulled it over.
She says the driver provided the officer with a false name and was arrested for impersonation with intent.
Police also observed a clear Ziploc baggie in plain view containing suspected cocaine, so the vehicle was searched and officers found suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and over $53,000.
Gauthier says a 54-year-old Sudbury man is facing several charges including false impersonation, possession of illegal drugs, possession of proceeds obtained by crime among others. He is to appear in Blind River Court on July 2nd.
