Like detachments across the province, the OPP in East Algoma, Manitoulin and Sudbury are all restricting access to detachments, but they are open.
Provincial Media Relations Coordinator, Staff Sergeant Carolle Dionne says enhanced screening is in place at all detachments.
Dionne says they all remain open but are asking the public to limit their access.
She says 911 remains in place for all emergencies.
For non-emergency services, she asks the public to call their local detachment or report online at opp.ca/reporting .
Dionne adds if anyone requires any detachment-based service, including criminal record checks/vulnerable sector checks, to contact their local detachment, but the checks will only be carried out if necessary or for emergency circumstances.
