Blind River school brings library into the digital age

Blind River’s École Saint-Joseph students can still find plenty of books in their revamped library, but it also now offers access to digital tools to meet the needs of the digital age.

Conseil scolaire Catholique Nouvelon Education Director Paul Henry, says the library has been revamped as part of the process to create main learning hubs in their schools.

He adds the concept was always intended to mirror the new realities faced by students by providing them with a flexible space that fosters active learning, and where they can work, cooperate and share. Henry adds students can still find books, but they will also have a wide variety of electronic resources to access as well.

The space was re-opened to students and staff earlier this week.
