The North Channel Marine Tourism Council is launching two marketing awareness programs aimed at promoting the communities of the North Channel of Lake Huron.
The first is the council’s new Admiral of the North Channel Passport where boat owners validate them during their North Shore travels and once they have obtained ten, receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
The second is a social media campaign centred on a travelling life buoy that will make its way from boat to boat over this year’s season encouraging people to share photos with the hashtag ##NCDiscover.
Thanks to grants from the two local area community development corporations, the council has obtained funding to launch the two programs.
The two programs will officially be launched today at 2:00pm at the pavilion in Little Current.
