It looks like Espanola council will be making the final decision on possibly switching from municipal policing to Ontario Provincial Police as quickly as possible.
The Town of Espanola will be hosting a public information session on the OPP proposal Thursday, April 19th at the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion at 7:00pm and it will be livestreamed.
It will be the last opportunity for the public to ask questions and review the proposal.
Council passed a motion Tuesday night to make the final decision at its next regular meeting of council on April 24th.
The deadline to accept the contract is May 22nd.
