A fundraiser for an Elliot Lake infant was so much more than what people expected.
Elliot Lake’s Elijah Hennessey, the son of Jessie Hennessey and Tom Wallace, was born last November with his heart being the major issue at this time.
Fundraising co-organizer, Sandy Finamore says the event held on Saturday raised well over the $15,000 goal, but final figures have yet to be tabulated.
She says there were hundreds of people throughout the day Saturday with over 400 attending the live auction alone.
The funds will go to the family to offset costs not covered by any programs or other supports.
