Two people are in hospital in Sudbury following a stabbing incident.
Greater Sudbury Police say a man and woman are in hospital where they remain in serious condition.
Police say around 8:30pm on Monday they received a call about a domestic disturbance on Pine Street.
Overhearing the disturbance, neighbours in the building attempted to gain entry to his apartment, but were met at the door by a 27-year old man wielding a knife.
He chased them out of the building and then went back into the apartment.
When neighbours returned, they found a 22-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds lying on the ground.
Police say the man also had several self-inflicted knife wounds.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
