Inquest into the Death of Walter George Blight Announced

An inquest will be held into the death of an Elliot Lake man who died in 2015.

Dr. David Eden, Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests, announced yesterday an inquest will be held into the death of Walter George Blight.

Blight, 72, died on July 16, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision in Killarney.

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding his death, with a focus on issues related to driving safety in the presence of medical and psychiatric illness.

The inquest is expected to last five days and to hear from approximately 11 witnesses.

The inquest will be held on April 9th in Sudbury.
