Four area school boards in Elliot Lake have been directed to look at the optimal use of school space and that could mean blending schools.
The study proposes the possible relocation of Georges Vanier to Villa Française des Jeunes high school in Elliot Lake.
In 2013, the two Catholic boards conducted a joint feasibility study looking at various options for the optional use of space, and another study also took place in 2017 between the two French boards.
The French Catholic board is hosting a public information session this Thursday at 6:00pm at Georges Vanier.
During this meeting, the main elements of the joint feasibility study conducted with the Public English board, as well as the option proposed in the study with the Catholic English board, will be reviewed.
The English Catholic board will also hold a public information session this Thursday at 7:00pm at VFJ High School.
The public is invited to attend both.
