A woman who is well known on Manitoulin visits the Island this weekend to screen her film, Moose River Crossing.
Shirley Cheechoo has helped with arts-related work on Manitoulin over the years. She’s an award-winning filmmaker and the first ever Indigenous person in Canada to write, produce, direct and act in a dramatic film.
Cheechoo will show Moose River Crossing this Saturday at Norm’s Park in Kagawong at 7:00pm. She’ll also talk about her film and take questions from the audience.
